In 1866, LeCoultre and his son, Elie, established LeCoultre & Cie where they put together their watchmakers under one roof. In 1902, LeCoultre & Cie manufactured movements blanks for Patek Philippe. LeCoultre invented the ultra-thin movements which lead to the world’s thinnest pocket watch in 1907. In 1907, Edmond Jaeger became the exclusive provider of movements for Cartier. The movements were made be LeCoultre. Jaeger also got the patent for the Atmos clock from Jean-Leon Reutter and in turn licensed it to LeCoultre. From this collaboration, they became Jaeger-LeCoultre in 1937.
